The japanese version

The japanese version è un documentario dei primi anni novanta. E' molto divertente oltre ad essere interessante. Nel film viene mostrata l'ossessione di alcuni giapponesi per la cultura americana, cosa molto comune fino a qualche anno fa in Giappone ed ancora viva se pur con minor intensità.
Quest'aspetto del Giappone è stato un punto centrale di alcune lezioni antropologiche di un corso universitario che seguii ad Osaka. Le varie conclusioni non sto qui ad elencarle.
Il film comunque mostra scene e ricerche a volte spaventose da un certo punto di vista. La parte più impressionante mostra un gruppo di persone talmente ossessionate dal sud-ovest americano che ricreano per questo un bar stile far west e s'incontrano tutte le sere travestiti da cow-boy a bere wiskey, ballare musica country dandosi dei nomi come Jhon, James etc etc....
